Kelli Riedl

Kelli Riedl, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her doctorate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association and Ohio Psychological Association.

Dr. Riedl offers individual, family and group therapy. She believes that the relational component of therapy is essential and serves as the basis for establishing trust, compassion, empathy, and respect. Dr. Riedl utilizes psychodynamic, cognitive, behavioral, and family systems theories to better understand each individual’s needs, to build upon his or her strengths and problem-solving abilities, and to promote overall mind body wellness.

Dr. Riedl has particular expertise in working with children and families who may be experiencing emotional, behavioral, and social difficulties. She also specializes in working with adults who may be struggling with life stressors, anxiety and depression.

Many of the children that Dr. Riedl works with are struggling with feelings of sadness and depression, worrisome thoughts and anxiety, anger issues, low self-esteem and self-confidence, and/or issues related to disruptive behavior and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). She also works with children who are having trouble learning, making friends or dealing with peer ridicule. Dr. Riedl provides a safe and comforting environment for children to learn how to cope more effectively with the challenges they may be facing. Her collaborative approach also encourages parents, family members, teachers, physicians and other influential professionals to participate in the treatment process.

Dr. Riedl also specializes in working with adults who are coping with important life transitions. She helps individuals develop insight, self-confidence, and direction toward achieving personal goals. She also has expertise in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments of individuals from childhood through adulthood. Evaluations are tailored to meet each individual’s needs and to provide a clear picture of strengths and areas of limitation, as well as to offer realistic recommendations.
